No Hot Water in Shower, but Hot Water in Sink?
Hello, in one of my full bathrooms I can get scalding hot water out of my sink, but I can't get anything above ice cold water in the shower. My other bathroom is fine, hot water in sink and shower. I've gone in my basement and felt the pipes and it seems like hot water is going up to the shower, it's just not coming out? Can anyone offer any diagnosis or solutions? Thanks so much!

You didn't say if it was a single handle faucet or two handle. Does ANY water come out if you turn the faucet to hot only? If it is single handle, you probably have a bad cartridge and it needs repaired or replaced. They have "O" rings that go bad and can let the cold water cross over or the ring can block the hot outlet. Good Luck.

Majakdragon you are quick and good!!!
It is a single handle faucet (the twisting type), my water pressure is just fine and identical anywhere on the spectrum from cold to hot.
Is it difficult to replace the cartridge and do they sell them at a Lowe's/Home Depot type store?

It is not hard to change them. You will have to find a name of brand or take the existing cartridge with you. Most home centers carry a wide variety of them. Make sure when you pull the old one out that you look at the way it sits in the surrond. May want to take a magic marker and mark "top" before you pull it out so you put the new one in at the proper orientation. The reason for this is the location of "O" rings has to be aligned properly. Good luck.

mrmike916, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Being a newer house, it could be that the water lines were not properly flushed out. Debris can clog the "O" rings and not allow the proper amount of water to exit the fixture. You may want to take the handle assembly apart and flush out the orfices and check the "O" rings for wear. Good luck.

Yes, you need to shut off the water supply. I have included Deltas website and toll free phone number. You may be able to find your model on their website with disassembly instructions. Good luck.
