Kitchen Faucet (Knocking Noise)
Hi: My kitchen faucet (Single Lever) just started making a clunk or knocking noise when I move the lever (Hot or Cold) up. Even when slowly turning the water on it clunks. It's not the end of the world but it is a little annoying. Tried to reduce the pressure (water flow) but it still clunks. Any one have an idea what might cause that/. Thanks a lot...

There's something loose in the faucet, somewhere just beyond the valves. Even a tiny flow has lots of pressure behind it; this hits that loose part hard, and shifts it. We can assume the play is in the cartridge. Just removing the cartridge and putting it back may solve the problem, and a new cartridge almost certainly will.

Kitchen Faucet (Knocking)
Thanks Kobuchi for the reply. I did take cartridge out and reseat it but still getting the knocking noise when lifting (turning on) lever. The cartridge is a replacement (Last Year) for the original one. At least the faucet works fine and the slight knocking noise is liveable. On the bright side - I found a slight leak around the shut off under the sink so I got to tighten nut on the hose connection & shut off - so it would have gone unnoticed for some time if I hadn't attempted to fix noise. Anyway thanks for your help. Have a good one...
