Insulating tub?

I have an acrylic tub I am installing in my bathroom. I was wondering if there was any way to insulate it so the water wouldn't turn cold quite so quickly? I was thinking maybe using foam insulation along the outside of the tub, between the tub and wall. Is this possible/advisable?

Before you install the tub, seal any air leaks that may be allowed through the floor or walls. You can use the foam (styrofoam) or spray foam insulation. If you use the spray foam, make sure you get the low pressure expansion type. The high expansion could get in an area and trapped which could put undue pressure on the sides of the tub. Good luck.
