Problem with bathtub diverter

Whenever we try to divert the water from the bath to the shower the diverter is very difficult to pull up and we always have water coming from the tub faucet whenever we shower. The diverter is on the tub faucet. I think I need to replace the diverter but I can't get the faucet off. Any thoughts? I am a complete novice who just likes to try and do things myself. Is this something I can do myself?

Look under the spout. If there is a slot near where the spout meets the tub wall, there is an allen screw to loosen and then remove the spout. It may still be a little stiff as there are "O" rings that seal it. If no slot, the spout screws on. Hold it close to the tub and turn counter-clockwise with a wrench. Good luck.

I found the slot under the spout but I can't see where the allen screw is. All I see is a pipe in the spout. Any ideas???

toilet flushes quickly

After changing toilet valve, seat etc. I noticed that my toilet flushes very quickly(drains tank into bowl fast) and fills up bowl so fast that level goes high (for a second or two) in the bowl. It also fills bowl so hard that it ocassionly splashes. The drain isn't slow - It just emptys tank so fast.

Toilet Cistern Suddenly Fills Very Slowly

My toilet cistern has, for a while now, been filling much slower than normal. I've just put up with it as it's not that much of an annoyance. However, just today, the overflow from the loft tank has started pouring water out and the toilet cistern isn't re-filling at all. Just about to go up and have a look - I suspect a simple blockage. Anyone any ideas what else could have happened to cause this? Otherwise, it'll be lovely expensive plumber time. :rolleyes:
