toilet flange
I recently put ceramic tile in my bathroom and the tile is now flush/level with the toilet flange. Does the toilet flange need to be elevated above the tile, if so how much? or can it be level with the floor tile? I have a standard cheapest cost toilet in the bathroom?

I knew that I should have asked first. Well, the flange is on the second floor so I unscrewed the flange screws and lifted the flange up about 1/2 inch and put 1/2 sockets (tool wratchet sockets) around and under the flange. Then I poured liquidfied mortar under and around the flange and tightened down the flange. It seems pretty tight, level and is about 1/2 inch above tile. Is this okay??

You are still okay as long as the flange cannot rock, which could break it off. There is a difference of opinion on which method is better, above or level with floor. I personally do not like a lot of space that has to be filled in by the wax seal to prevent leaks.
