Help to remove Pedestal sink

Please give me information on how I can remove and replace a pedestal sink in my powder room. I am trying to replace vinyl flooring with tile. The top of the sink is glued to the wall. Also there is a connection to the water supply under the basin of the sink. I am assuming that the sink will finally sit on top of the tile floor...will that make it difficult to reconnect to the water supply, that is, will the increased height create problems in putting back the pedestal sink ? I will also be removing and replacing the toilet...and I have read the guidelines on that on this site and I think I should be okay there. Thanks for the help.

They glued the sink to the wall?! Two bolts with anchors should have been fine, or bolts right into studs. Well, there is not really an easy way to remove it without doing damage to the drywall. You will have to repair the drywall once you remove the sink.

Yes, you want the sink on the new tile and, yes, the change in height may affect the current plumbing set up. You may need to buy and cut new piping to make it all work. Good luck.
