I live in a condo that's approximately 20 years old. I'd like to have the existing handles (cold, hot, diverter) and spout on my tub/shower replaced for purely aesthetic reasons as the chrome is corroding. I don't know what the brand is. There are no leaks and everything seems to work fine, so to replace everything (which would involve taking out a metal door frame to get at the pipes behind the wall) isn't worth the expense. I was told it was possible to replace [U]only[/U] the handles and spout as long as the new model is compatible with the old model. How do I determine which models would be compatible? Also, can the handles and spout be purchased separately rather than as as set with the showerhead and all the other components that I may not need? Thanks for your help.

hi - This is pretty weird but --- when I sit on my toilet and then move my rear a little off center so my butt is not making a seal in the back there is a hissing sound as if air is escaping - not from me but from the toilet bowl. I tried shutting the lid to see if it made the sound when I lifted it back up and it did not. It just started to make this noise. What's going on here?
