Wife Clogged Our Sink Drain
Good morning, everyone. 
Last night, my wife used the garbage disposal improperly, AGAIN, and clogged the kitchen drain.
I have informed her she is no longer allowed to use it.
Last time this happened, I was able to work away the clog by means of plunging and 4-5 stock pots of almost-boiling water. This time, it's done no good. Even resorted to some Drano Max Gel last night and it did nothing.
So, I take it I'll have to get under the sink and take apart the pipes? It's all PVC plumbing. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

You need to first take apart the piping underneath to see if the drain is clogged, if not local you will need to use an electric drain cable machine to clear the obstruction.

If I have to use such a machine, is that something I can rent from a hardware store or HD / Lowe's, etc. ? Thanks.

Sure.. I rented one from home depot. I got the one with the 1/2" 50foot cable. Worked great but make sure you are careful it doesnt hit you in the face if it gets tangled up. Hopefuly its something in the trap though.

If you poured drain cleaner in there, be real careful you dont get that on you when you open up the plumbing!!
