I am putting a new faucet on my kitchen sink. The hot side connection was simple as it had a 3-way 3/8 OD connection that included the water supply from some flex 3/8 copper, a 3/8 OD connection for my dishwasher and then a 3/8 OD supply with 1/2 faucet connection. However, the cold side only has a 3/8 flexible copper line that I need to connect to to the faucet. Is there a shutoff valve wth 3/8 OD on both side to connect it all together? I tried to reverse a 3/8 OD - 1/2 thread value and use 1/2-1/2 supply line to the faucet but the 1/2 connection leaked and I can never get it tight enough. We have a tile walled shower stall with a fiberglass pan in our main bath. The pan is in excellent condition, but we don't care for the tile. Is it functionally acceptable to install a 3 piece fiberglass wall surround over the top of the tile, or must the tile be removed from the backerboard first? I'd rather not deal with the tile if I don't have to, but my concern is whether the adhesive would stick to the tile or not. Has anyone ever done this successfully? Thanks!
