Leaky Shower head

Leaky Shower head
I have a stand up, glass enclosed shower. We have a Delta shower handle, not the kind you pull out and turn, just the kind you turn left or right for hot and cold and all the way to the right is off. Our shower head is leaking and the dripping is driving me mad when I try to sleep at night. We have replaced the shower head itself and it is still dripping. Any ideas how to fix this or find out what is causing the drip? The plumbers I called out here all told me it would require a complete inspection and just the inspection would run me from $25-$50, and we dont have that much atm. I am looking at a ballpark of what to have out of our next paycheck to save towards fixing this. Any help here is appreciated. Thank you greatly!

Dmccaugh, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
The showerhead is just a water disperser. The problem is in the seal (probably a cartridge) that stops the water flow. It is slowly leaking through and traveling up the piping and dripping out the head. Take the handle off and check the "O" rings on the cartridge. NOTE the position (or mark with a marker) the cartridge when you remove it. They DO have a top and bottom. You can get repair parts or a whole new cartridge at most Home Centers. Good luck.

Would I need to stop the water supply to the shower? If so how do i go about doing this? It is all behind tiles, which if i dont have to remove I really dont want to! I hate having a fixer upper house and having no clue about how to fix half of it! :P

Sorry, I didn't advise you that the water had to be turned off. There should be a valve at your water meter that will shut off the whole house. Most showers don't have shut-off valves anyways so it's a given that the house has to be shut down.

Not knowing the Model you have, I have included a link with a lot of repair kits and parts. You may recognize what you have.
