Slow Toilet

Hello, I have a slow flushing / incomplete flushing toilet. When you first pull the flush handle, an air bubble comes up through the bowl. I understand that this could be a faulty wax seal. However, there is no water leaking or stains from water leaking. Would you always have water leaking with a faulty seal? Is there anything else I should check?

ksmith142, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
The air bubble makes me think you have a plugged vent. Only way to find out is to go onto the roof, if you feel comfortable doing this, and see if you can find a blockage (birdsnest, leaves etc). Scoop out what you can by hand and then flush out with a garden hose. Drainage systems need air to function properly. Kind of like sticking a drinking straw in a glass of water with your finger over the end of the straw and lifting it from the glass. When you remove your finger, the water runs out. It could also be a partial clog in the drain line that makes it drain slow. Many causes but I think its a ventline. Reply back with any questions or the solution. Good luck.
