trap out of slod PVC pipes
Does shower drain have to be build out of compression fittings? I seem to be unable to install my shower pan, every time I try, pipe pushes a caulking ring inside the drain unit
All drain piping in this stupid house was done on glue, so I don’t know if it normal practice to make sewer drain solid or not…

I have seen some shower drains that are secured to the pan first and have rubber seals that make the connection inside the drain pipe when placed over the drain. Others have a female threaded connection below the pan and the drain screws into the fitting with Plumbers putty on the ring around the drain fitting.
