My husband and I were granted a permit to turn our garage into a master bedroom and bath. The project is almost finished, but my husband left...leaving me 3 weeks away from the permit deadline. Here's the problem: The tub and toilet will not drain. The toilet tank has no water...it's all in the bowl. The sink has no water pressure (it only trickles out), but drains. I noticed that the problem started after my friend hooked up the faucet water lines to the sink. Before they were hooked up, the toilet drained, because I dumped water down it while cleaning. There is also the possiblility of a clog, because during construction, I cleared away alot of drywall, insullation and wood shavings from the PVC pipe. Can someone give me a clue what to do? I'd hire a plumber, but I don't have the money.

How do I disconnect the sink stopper on my bathroom sink? It connects underneath the sink to the up & down thing that you pull. I dissconnected that but it has a clamp like thing on it...can I pri that off? It must go inside the pipe to hold the stopper in the drain? I want to take it off because my bathroom sink clogs up every month and I'm sick of spending money on drain cleaners. I'm sure its hair and soap clogging it but I cant get anything down the drain with that stopper attached. Help!
