Please help....I have a leak in my toilet

We just replaced the inside of the toilet due to a leaky toilet....however now that it's all reconnected the connection from the valve to tank is linking.

Any suggestions?!?!?! We can't turn the main on and have no water and its 8pm!!!

Is it leaking at the valve or the tank? If it's the tank, did you make sure to put the washer in the female connector that attaches to the tank? If it's at the valve, tighten the nut a bit more. Let me know what is exactly leaking and how much. Good luck and I will wait for an answer.

Thanks for waiting!

The tank has water in it and there is no leak.

However when I connect the water supply connector (braided metal with a plastic cuppler (?) on the end to the tank and turn the water back on it leaks.

So it is leaking at the tank connection. There should have been a washer that goes into the plastic coupler that screws on to the tank. It is a flat washer. Did it possibly fall off when you disconnected it to repair it? Check around the area.

My husband just ran out to home depot and bought a new connector...and yes that one does have a washer....our old one did not.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks!
