Red face Condensation at base of toilet bowl and base container

Hi, I'm a novice at this, but there is condensation built up around the base of my toilet bowl as well as the tank. In addition, it is making the floor have puddles. What do I need to do, and since I am not handy should I just contact the plumber...and what would you say a job estimate is...

Any help would be much appreciated!

Pricing is hard to figure out since it varies from state to state, plumber to plumber. I would think that it would possibly be a leaking tank to bowl bolt(s) or water line connection to tank.

Is the tank covered with condensation or just at the bottom? It could be that the incoming water is quite a bit colder that the room temperature and it is just "sweating". Wipe it all off and see if it returns when you flush. Good luck.

The condensation is forming on the underside of the bowl and on the bottom half (and underneath) the tank.

I turned off the water connection last night and flushed the water out to see if the condensaiton would return. There isn't any, but today is alot colder than yesterday.

So now I'm turning the water connection back on to test the "sweating" theory. If it turns out to be just sweating, are there prevention methods for this?

I will let you know what happens and thanks for all the help!

They make condensation insulation kits. They are installed inside the tank. Another option (complicated though) is a tempering line that adds warm water to the cold to stop the condensation.
