[COLOR=Navy]I am working on a bath faucet in an old condominium. I removed the old Moen cartridge (with some difficulty) and put in a new one. I tried to get as much of the corrosion out of the pipe as possible just using my finger. I don't think that was good enough. The new cartridge is now stuck and will not insert fully. I'm afraid to hit it too hard. I don't want to break it or the old pipes. Now, I can't get out the new cartridge. Should I use extreme force to get out the new cartridge? Also, assuming that I can remove it, any advice on how to clean out the corrosion so that a new cartridge will install nicely? Thank you so much. I have old motel where few bath tubs have galtmaster faucets.in two rooms i have twice changed a total cartridge bought from home depot commercial shop but it stil leaks no matter how tight it is. I cheked the inside of the valve where cartridge threads in, i found that small round hole from where water is leaking.is is all worned out. (it looks like a small round brass threaded ring)Due to this sharp broken seat, when washer in front of cartrigeis pushed against it to shut the water,it breaks right away. Am I able to replace this internal seat only? or do I have to replace whole valve and faucets? Is there any special tool to remove this seat as it is 4" inside the valve? where can I buy it? What is the name of the tool? I live in Hamilton Ontario,Canada. Any one who can help will be greatley appreciated Thanks motel
