No water to bath tubs

My wife, the realtor, just sold a house that had been vacant for a while. It had been winterized and the new owner is having problems getting water from the single handle faucet in both bath tubs. Water to all other sinks and toliets but not the tubs. The house is on a slab and are no separate shut off valves for the supplies to the tubs. Depending on the way the system is piped, the water heater hasnt been filled I suspect this may be the cause but am not sure. Would this cause the problem or are there other possible solutions?

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

The water heater should have nothing to do with NO water in the two tubs. There should at least be cold water. If possible, check with whoever winterized the house. They may have shut off a hidden valve. Good luck.

No hidden valves, I can probably figure it out but was trying to avoid going to the house on Sunday to do it. Probably something simple but without looking at it I am as much in the dark as you.

Thanks though.

Dont know why but the water heater DID have something to do with not cold water in the tubs. When they opened the fill valve and released the trapped air the water started flowing! Maybe mystery plumbing issue or air lock was sufficient to prevent flow of cold water at any rate it works. Bad news one pipe had frozen and burst in the attic. At least its accessible and can be repaired without too much difficulty.

Thanks.
