Obviously something is bigger on the new tub. If you have the old one, measure all the dimensions. A 1/4" can be huge in a tight space. Good luck.

I had the same problem once, both the new and old tubs were the same lenth but the new would not fit, smacked the 2x4's with a sledge hammer 2 or 3 times and the tub fit, good luck.

Tub

Acrylic tubs are usually attached to the stud, if you have changed the dimensions of the tub opening it will not fit. Check the size that the manufactor recommends, if that dosen't match thats your problem. Luck.

The studs will only move a fraction of an inch, you will still be able to attach the tub to the studs.

Tube wont fot

If you have added anything to the opening that changes the dimensions thats your prob. A standard tub measures 60 in. if you have less than that, thats where the problem lies. FYI they should have at least 60 1/4 inch. Messure your opening. Luck.
