Shower Base - Custom Drain Hole?
I am a first-timer and I'm putting in a shower in the basement. The drain was installed in the floor at the time of construction, and being eager, I decided to frame the area for the bathroom.
I purchased an ASB shower (neo-angle, 38"), and when I looked at it, realized the hole for the drain was predetermined. Needless to say, the drain doesn't match up with my drain pipe.
The question I have is has anybody seen shower bases (or units-- i'd be willing to change styles) where you are allowed to drill your own drain in the base? I'd rather not have to move the walls, because I got a little ahead of myself and already ran copper to the "appropriate" locations....
Any advice would be great.

Making your own shower base will probably be your only option. Precast/preformed bases usually have a depression around the drain hole so that the drain flange is level or below the floor of the shower for best drainage. A fiberglass base could be altered but doubtful many places doing fiberglass would give a guarantee for work that is not their specialty. Good luck.

I found the following site http://www.showerbase.com/Shower%20Base.htm which looks to do what I'm looking for.
In addition, it looks like some Kohler (and I'm going to keep looking) enclosures are made for you to cut your own drain hole.
Worst case scenario, is that I have to get something other than a corner shower and possibly add some framing to hold the shower in place. Any other info will be greatly appreciated.
