Banging/Hammering noise in bath tub faucets
Please help...
How hard is it to fix banging or hammering noise in the bath tub faucets?
If I turn on both hot and cold water, the hammering noise start kick in.
I just replaced the diverter stem and just noticed to have that noise when I combined hot and cold water.
Should I call plumber to fix this or this is something you can do yourself?
I am afraid I need to cut some space on the wall to do the repair. Am I right?
Thanks!

Sounds like a loose washer on one of the three stems possibly. Take apart the faucet and inspect all the wearable parts and make sure that the washers are tight to the stems.
