Toilet tank has "delayed" refill???

Sorry if this already appears in here somewhere, I tried to run a search on this, but came up empty and I don't even know if I'm describing it correctly? Basically what is happening is the toilet will flush seemingly smoothly, then, about a minute to two minutes later, the refill of the tank will begin. It seems to be delayed???? I've tried looking in the tank, nothing seems to be out of place, hopefully someone else knows what I'm talking about

Thanks in advance for any assistance you all might be able to offer

The fill-valve is where the water supply tube goes into the tank. You will have to turn off the valve on the water supply under the tank and then you can flush and dry out any water remaining. If you purchase a Fluidmaster 400A fill valve at Home Centers or hardware stores, they have excellent installation instructions. Cost about $6. Good luck.
