Can't remove tub knob

I'm trying to replace a leaky 3-knob Price Pfister faucet. I have all the parts and are ready to go, but I can't get the knob off!

I popped off the plastic cover and unscrewed the screw. But now what? I assumed the whole knob would just pop off, but I can't get it to budge. It won't screw off, it won't pull off, the interior part doesn't come out. I tried this on both the hot & cold knobs, but couldn't get anywhere once I removed the screw.

What am I doing wrong?

samatlock, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Faucet handles become very accustomed to where they are at. This is usually due to calcium deposits forming on the stem between the stem and handle. You can try wrapping a rag soaked with vinegar around the handle for a while. This will sometimes loosen it up. If this does not work, you may need to buy a handle puller. Should be less than $10 at a Home Center. Good luck.
