Shower Pump Problems
Ok then... I just installed a shower pump in the attic, next to the cold water tank and just above the hot water tank. This is a shower pump replacement, and the last one worked well untill it just gave up. It sounds like it's working, and there is no leaks...
But... the problem is, i can't get the water to the right temperature when using the mixer. It's either roasting red hot or freezing. Even if you just move the mixer ever so slightly. It comes out at high pressure, so the pump works.
Any ideas??? Thanks in advance

You're probably posting from somewhere across the Pond, eh? The plumbing that you describe doesn't sound familiar to me as a plumber in the USA, but I'm curious. The shower pump, do you pipe both hot & cold into it, then back out to the mixer? Could you post a picture on photobucket?
My first guess would be that you got a bad pump, but that's a shot in the dark.

^^ the above link, shows rougly what the pump looks like (although it's not actually that one). The hot water comes in one side and the cold water comes in via the other side, with the two seperate supplies then leaving through the top and to the shower mixer...
as i said, it's still either super hot or super cold.... and sometimes there's no hot atall...
if there's anything else i've missed, please ask me

Is it the same brand pump (Salamander)? The Salamander web site looks like it might provide some support. Take a look at the Downloads tab and click the Fitting Instructions. There are also contact #s that would be worth a call. Good luck.
