(note user name) I know we really should face reality and put the house on a pressure system, but gravity has worked for better than 100 years! Does anyone know of any plumbing suppliers that carry old fashioned kitchen faucets that really open up? These modern things with their 1 mm holes just don't cut it!

It is our all knowing, all protecting "federal government" that requires flow restriction on all faucets. Try calling Moen and ask them where the flow restrictor is, they don't dare even say the word! I live in a rural area with no public water supply. Most well systems here operate at 30-50 psi. You can't get good flow from the new faucets because, at least according to Moen, they are designed for a flow of 2 gpm at 80 psi!
I think that you might be successful over the internet or at an architectural salvage company.
