Is the countertop already installed? If you have the option it is easier to install the sink before the countertop. There are undercounter mounting kits available. Basically, they consist of a couple of braces that span the sink opening and the rim of the sink rests on the brace. The one offered by Kohler is adjustable.
Since your sink is stainless and relatively light, I would just install a couple of 2X4 braces to support the sink.

The counter top is being ordered along with the sink. I believe when the people who are installing the new counter top come to take measurements they also will measure for the sink and what not. I guess i'll have to wait to see what my wife has bought. Being that i never have done anything like this before i was looking to get some info and tips before hand.
Thanks again

Actually the sink will come with a cut out template and installation guide. Most SS sinks come with a series of clips that are screwed into the underside of the countertop. The 2x4 wood braces mentioned by Wayne are also a good way to go. The steel span braces mentioned are used to install cast iron under-mount sinks and not recommended to use as the sole source of mounting SS sinks (additional bracing would be required).
