Our toliet sometimes flushes all the way and clears out everything and other times the water just moves around and only a little stuff, if anything, is flushed down the toliet. There does not seem to be a pattern as when we are going to have a problem. This is a second floor toilet. The other toilet on this level doesn't have this problem. This is a brand new new toilet in a brand new home. We have had this issue since moving into the home 2 months ago. I read a similar posting about an older toilet, which you all thought something might have been blocking the flow or debris could have been causing the problem. Since this is a new toilet, I would hope this is not the issue. Thanks

I just gutted a basement bathroom to the studs. Shower was a tile shower 36x36 that was falling apart. shower floor is cement, the problem is we want to put a fiberglass shower unit in but the old drain isn't centered. From side to side it's centered at 18 inches, but it's 24 inches from the back wall. I'm thinking about building up the floor where the shower will sit and have a six inch pipe from the shower drain go into the existing drain. Is this a stupid idea? I really don't want to break up the cement floor if I don't have to. Any sugestions?
