Foamy Water coming out of Kitchen Faucet...
Hello all,
This is a weird one. I have a stainless steel sink with a stainless steel faucet. The faucet head has a retractable hose since I recently put a dedicated drinking water faucet in the spray hoses place.
Anyway, if I don't use the water for awhile (over 2 hours), the next time I turn it on, the water comes out white and foamy, but then quickly dissappears. It only does this for about 2-3 seconds.
Any ideas? I have a water softner, but I would think it this was the cause, all of the sinks would do this. I also have CPVC piping, not copper.
Thank you!
David

It sounds like it is simply air in the line. Perhaps the faucet does not seal completely and when you turn on the drinking water, some air is sucked into the line from the retractable head on the faucet.
