Arrow Double sink vanity top conversion

I have recently purchased an integral double sink cultured marble vanity top (61" x 18" EXACT) for my bathroom cabinet along with (2) widespread faucets (clearance rack-yeah, baby).
The original vanity top was for a single sink but 60" long and was custom-made out of tile and had a backsplash of the same tile that went halfway up the wall (typical 60s look).
After sawing the original vanity cabinet to make room for the new vanity top, I realized that not only was the new top the wrong depth (new=18" original=22") but the faucet spread of the new top is wrong also (new=4" original=8").
I can possibly make up for the depth difference by building a 3" ledge behind the new top for placing items on. But then I also have a problem making the spread work as well (possibly redrill the holes, but how would I cover the old holes?).
What can I do without starting over from scratch?? Thanks in advance for your advice...

Welcome to the forums! Sorry for the delay in responding. Sometimes we have to look at a situation and try to figure out the reasoning behind things before we respond. So here goes. You are looking at the wrong end to correct. If the countertop is that important, then you will need to replace the cabinet. You can buy faucets with the proper spread, or separate spout/hot/cold which are mounted one in each hole, no matter what the spread.
So, you will have to decide whether to buy a new sink countertop, or replace the base and the faucet(s). Building shelves and the like will look odd to say the least. I know you got a deal, but a deal you can't use ain't much of a deal.

Red face Thanks!! Great advice...

Chandler...I appreciate your help...my wife and I had come up with the same solution, but just wanted to get a 2nd opinion. You are exactly right about the good deal part too...sometimes I buy before I get all the details. Thanks again.
