Overflow Plate Question

I need to remove the overflow plate on my bathtub. It isn't a standard plate with a lever and screws. To fill or empty the tub the plate turns and there are no visible screws. It was installed new about 4 yrs. ago. Is anyone familiar with these and know how to remove it?
Thanks in advance.

The part you turn is probably a cap that snaps on and off hiding the screws. I wish I could look at it first to make sure before telling you to pry on it because it might screw off. Any idea who made it?

If it's a rounded triangular plate, it could be a Geberit. There should be a hole on the bottom that you can put an allen wrench through, although I think that some of the newer ones may press on.

If it's a big rectangle, it may be a Kohler, and the screws are awkwardly placed behind the plate that you see.

It's an American Standard. It does have a hole in it, and I've been poking a screwdriver in which seems to turn a screw. I can't find any diagrams of the **^* thing on the Internet.

Are you sure that it's not an American Standard bathtub? I have never seen an AS waste & overflow, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

If you found a hole & there's a screw behind it, you're probably on the right track.
