The piece you hold up to divert the water from the tub faucet to the shower head needs to be held longer than before. It is not a drop in pressure and the water tank is fine at one yr old. Also, there is a black oily substance running form the base of the faucet(where it meets the tub) down to the over flow preventer. Kind of unsightly. Shoddy plumbing in this 27 year old townhouse . I knew how to remove the faucet from copper in N.E. but everything here is cpvc. Can I just put a wrench on the faucet or do I need to get into the access panel to fix this "pullup" lever? How do you fix it? Thank you

Is it possible to change a drain assembly to match new faucets. I have found discussion about doing so but no discussion on how to actually do it or how difficult it is. We are buiding a new house and the builder is wanting to charge us 4X greater than retail locaiton to upgrade the faucets to something acceptable. I am wondering if we can do this after the fact AND have matching drain assemblies. All faucets are Moen. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Shelley
