Single to Double sinks in bathroom

I am replacing my bathroom vanity and would like to go from one sink to two. There is plenty of room for a 60" or bigger counter, but only one drain/supply on the left side. If I want to add a sink to the right, can I just install "splitters" and run supply/drain lines to the other side of the counter? Are such connectors available at the box stores? The kitchen sink thread mentioned a kit of some sort.
Thanks!

Yes, you can purchase a kit that will allow you to tie two sinks together to the same drain. Use only one ptrap, however to remain code compliant.
