Mixing valve problem: high pressure to tub, low to shower

Hi,
I have read through a lot of the discussions about mixing valves and low pressure to the shower head, but my set-up is different from all of them.

My diverter to the showerhead is a large knob that is above the tub spout (with a good distance of tile in between) and between the hot and cold handles - all three knobs look the same. My guess is that the mixing valve is in the wall 'behind' the diverter knob? If so, how do I either fix it or replace it? The brand is "Gerber".

The tub spout has excellent water pressure - both hot and cold.

Welcome to the forums! It is possible to change the workings of the diverter, which are similar to the hot and cold water. You apparently need to rebuild it so you can get full flow to the shower stack pipe.
