Unhappy Tub Faucets

When You Turn The HOT An Cold Water On Then Turn Down The Hot It Gets Hoter Then When You Turn UpThe Cold It Gets Hoter Cant Ajust it Take Awhile To Ajust IT Frezing OR Hoter

Have you always had that quirk or is this something new?

Mine actually does the same thing and I live with it, since after the initial reverse temp from what you'd expect (like you mentioned), I AM able to get the temp adjusted to my liking. It only does the reverse temp thing when I initially turn the handle some. I write it off to the design of the valve stem, as some are more complex, beyond simply having a washer on the end of some stem. Some have cylinders with seats on them, that in turn worm-gear there way onto the end of the stem. I have a feeling that it is this type of valve most likely to cause our scenario. If I get bored this weekend, maybe I will open mine up to confirm this.
