addon a new bathroom

Hello,

I have a question that I'm hoping someone on here could help me answer it. If I wanted to addon a new bathroom to my house, is there a any major changes to the plumbing system of the house? Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the forums! Well, short answer, YEAH. You need to determine the slope of the original plumbing and make considerations of that drop from your new location. Supply lines will not be a severe problem, but drains may. First, are you on a septic or public system? Have you visited your local or county planning department? First things first. Go there and let them help you with the ins and outs of this, as they may have certain restrictions/advice to let you know about. Second, are your existing drain lines 3" or 4"? How far from your new location does the main drain leave the house?
