Water Leak around the Hot Water Seat

Hi:
There is a small water leak around Hot Water Seat whenever turning on Hot Water. Cold Water has NO problem.

In my guess, packing inside hot-water stem getting bad. It's two handles kitchen faucet.

I would be very appreciated it if any of you would help me this, step by step basis. Because, I never done this, 'leaking' around hot-water seat.
I already purchased assorted-packing from H.D.

Thanks for your help in advance.

It sounds as if it could be the packing. Turn off the water to both the hot and cold water under the sink. Remove the handle and collar nut from the stem (carefully, with padded pliers). It should just lift off the stem, and you can see if the packing is squished down too much. Make several rounds of packing (if you bought the shoestring type) or install the packing ring, and reinstall it, tightening the collar nut sufficiently to seal it up. Replace the handle and wash dishes. Let us know how it goes or if you need more help.

Hi:
Thanks for the help you provided.

Today, we finally stopped the leak around the hot-water seat by putting a black-O-ring purchased from the H.D.

Thanks again.
