piping for a new toilet

I am in the middle of installing several bathrooms in a new house. I would like to verify and some general rules.

Pipe should slope 1" for every 10' of run

Can you install a 90 in the sewage pipe horizontaly. Going from left to right or should i use 45

Link a sink or shower at least 5 feet from the toilet.

Vent EVERYTHING. I know all about venting!

I realise these are proably local rules and i will be calling the inspector on Monday, i just wanted to have some other input.

I have looked at 3 other houses, mine, which has some problems (don't do that), my Best friend, Workes fine but seems to not follow some of the rules i have heard of, and my sister's, new construction.

Thanks everyone,

Rob

P.S. Great forums

New Toilet

3in. or under should be 1/4in. fall per foot.

A lot of codes will allow that use of a 90, I prefer a long sweep.

...."Link a sink or shower at least 5 feet from the toilet."....

Sorry, but I don't quite get what that means.

Shacko,

I mean that you can only have a "y" to accept the sink installed at least 5' down from the 90 of the toilet.

If you are talking about a horizontal hook-up to the branch that is correct, if you are talking about a vertical most of the time you can use a tee, wyes are always the best bet.
