Glass in disposal

I realized that a shot glass had fallen into the garbage disposal when I turned it on and it was too late. I pulled out as many large chunks as I could. My question is, if I turn it back on, will it crush the remaining glass enough to go through, or do I need to get it all out? If I do need to get it out, are there any suggestions on how, the opening is small and my hand is pretty well cut up (my own stupidity). Would love a quick fix, but would appreciate any ideas.

No replies.........get out all the glass you can find. The rubber piece in the top comes out to make it easier to get inside. The grinders will probably mash up very small pieces, but glass is almost as hard on a disposal as diamonds.

If you've got a shop vac I would imagine you could get most of it out with that.

And if you ever drop a bowling ball down in a hole, a shop vac and large funnel at the end of it will get it out. No joke.

I rigged up a unit I designed to get down soccer balls 20-30 feet up in the air off of horizontal beams.

I was going to mention a regular vacuum...is there any reason why one shouldn't use a regular vacuum?

Good chance you may suck up water while you're doing it.

This reminded me of an old Dennis the Menace cartoon.

Dennis is standing on a chair at the kitchen sink while his friend Joey is holding his hands over his ears. The caption reads, "See, I told you our garbage disposal could do a root beer bottle!"
