How do you put a steel bathtub in with only one inch clearance on the walls

There is maybe one inch clearance on the walls where the tub is going in. There is less than five feet clearance on the wall before the tub.

Is there a trick to putting in a bathtub where there is almost no clearance.

Thank you

No "real trick", just alot of "fenaggleing"! Make sure you have the studs open high enough, with the apron facing downward, slide-it down in the recess cavity and turn.

You are not giving enough information.

You have not said if this is a new install or if you are replacing a tub.

You have not said if the entire width of the bathroom is 5 feet or less.

From where to where is it LESS than 5 feet?: From stud to stud on opposing walls? If so, who would have done THAT?!

Is this less than 5 foot measurement from stud to stud or have the walls been finished off down to the floor with something already?
