Removing shower arm

Question Removing shower arm

I will be removing my shower arm, with a new one. First time that I will be doing this. Was informed to do this, turn the shower arm counterclock wise. Please advise don't want to break any pipes.

Sounds like you need moral support.

Yes.

If you find that in tightening on the new shower arm, that it gets tight 1/4 turn PAST pointing down (I HATE that when that happens), to not try to go the extra 3/4 turn. Instead remove the shower arm and add more tape wrap and retry.
