Toilet leaking into basement

We've noticed our guest bathroom toilet has always leaned to the left. A level placed on the floor indicates the floor is slightly leaning to the left but not to the degree that the toilet is leaning. Now, all of a sudden we notice the toilet is leaking into the basement upon flushing. My first assumption is that this is a wax ring problem but the fact that it leans so significantly also makes me wonder if the closet flange isn't cracked? Thoughts anyone?

To get to the wax ring, you need to pull the toilet. Once removed, the flange should be in plain sight. I would hope that the lean caused the wax seal to go, and a new seal plus a little shimming to level the toilet and keep it stable would solve the problem. Of course this is speculation until you open it up. I had one where the plywood underneath was rotted and had to do a major fix.
