Attaching a new closet flange to a lead closet bend

I am in the midst of a powder room renovation. I ripped up the floor and removed the original closet flange that was attached (with lead, I assume) to the lead closet bend. I'm putting down a 3/4 in plywood, then 1/4 in hardibacker, then 3/8 in tile. I had planned to attach the new flange on top of the tile floor using one of those twist lock replacement flanges. I had read that the underside of the flang should be level with the finished floor. The problem is it doesn't seem fit properly. What are my options as far as attaching a new flange to the lead closet bend? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to hire a plumber.

See my response I just made in "How to attach toilet flange..." thread. Maybe this system also will work for you.
