Caulking Recommendation
I have an acrylic corner tub installed. I will be tiling above it and have installed durarock as a backing for the tile.
Before having the tile installed I was planning to caulk the bottom seam where the durarock meets the acrylic tub decking.
Three questions:
1. Is this a good idea?
2. What is the best type of caulk to use?
3. Any tips for surface preparation etc.?
Thanks,
David

1. Yes it is a good idea. But your tile will extend down over it and almost touch your enclosure, won't it?
2. Don't use caulk, use a product such as GE Silicone II.
3. Make sure all your surfaces are completely dry.
