Faucet Problem

Hi all,

I have a Jameco bathroom faucet (4" centerset, two-handle) which leaks on the hot side. I took the faucet apart and nothing appears to be wrong with the stem or the rubber seat or spring. As an experiment I switched the hot and cold stems to see what would happen and the leak stops (though the handles turn the wrong way). Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

I'd still replace the seats and springs. The one in question may be worn but it can't be readily detected with the naked eye.Switching may be altering the wear pattern or where the actual seal is made to a less worn part of the seat.I'd also examine the stems closely for any possible damage, build up etc that might be contributing to the situation and if new seats and springs don't cure this then try new stems with them.
