Installing/Framing whirlpool into man. home?
I am about to remove the old corner soak tub. The way it was mounted, it wsa just screwed to the finished wall into the studs through the flange and then had a plastic trim and caulk at the finished wall.
I don't want to tear any of the finished wall out. If I am building a frame for it can I just attach a ledger board to the finished wall through the studs and then silcone/caulk any small seem where it meets the wall which should be minimal?
