Screw was sticking out from the escutcheon plate (Moen faucet positemp teardrop handle) When I tighten the screw it caused the tub spout to seperate from the wall. I say a good 1/2 to 3/4 inches. I took the handle apart and took a look and this is what I found: [IMG]http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/6404/dsc0002d.jpg//[/IMG] I went to the Moen website and download the install instructions for the faucet and from the looks of it the white piece is supposed to be secured to the plumbing, and then the escutcheon plate is secured to the plastic ring. As you can see it looks as if the previous owner had done some work, evidence shows frame work with scorch marks and plastic has burn marks as well. I tried to use some nylon spaces to make up the difference in the length but it did no good. Without ripping the wall open id there any way to fix this? Say a smaller palstic ring that I can attach to the plumbing and then the escucheon to that? Thanks in advance Rick

My toilet bowl has stopped refilling. I changed the inside on the bowl & when I turned the water back on it started to fill & then abruptly shut off. The water hadn't reached the float; so I'm a bit perplexed. Water is running without any issues in the rest of the house. Any help out there???:wall:
