Standard space between toilet and vanity?
Anyone know if there is a "standard" distance that the toilet should be from the vanity? I'm increasing the length of the current vanity, but I don't want to cramp the toilet area too much. Is there a minimum? I wouldn't want to go against any codes or regulations.

If you are talking about the distance to the sides, the distance is MININUM 15in. from center of toilet to edge of wall or vanity; keep in mind this is not a lot of room.

Correct if I'm wrong, but I think that the 15" minimum is measured from the center line of the toilet or the center of the waste pipe. This means you could move the vanity much closer than if measured from the outer edge of the bowl. Never mind, Shacko already said it.

Here's my dilemma: I'm looking to put in a double-sink vanity, but that would give me only 13.75" from the vanity to the center of the toilet bowl. I'm thinking it may be worth it for resale, but I'm still hesitant to go against code. What would you guys do?

Beekrock-
Go with more toilet space! Ours was done to the 15" and not a millimeter more and it was really cramped. That was one of the driving forces for remodeling my spare bath.
Buyers will notice a really cramped toilet and like Shacko said, a good inspector will catch it and that could complicate the sale.
