Leveling floor for pre-sloped shower pan installation
I have a purchased a pre-sloped shower pan approximately 3'X5'. Subsequently, I realized the floor area that the pan will sit on is 1" out of level. Unfortunately, this floor slope is enough to prevent the pre-sloped pan from having proper drainage. I need to level the floor which is currently a plywood surface so I can install the pan. Any recommendations on materials to level the floor?
Will a simple floor leveler do it? I have also rec'd suggestions for using some mix of sand and cement.
Do I need to put down cement board on the existing plywood for the leveler or other product to adhere to?

I would use a mixture of mortar, make sure you get it level before it sets up. If you don't have access to the area below you will have to get the drain roughed in also.
