Kitchen Sink Basket Strainer Replacement
My kitchen sink is leaking from the basket strainer connection to the underside of the sink. I've seen some online videos on how to replace the strainer, however the style that I have doesn't look the same as what I've viewed. In the videos, there has always been a large nut under the sink that holds the strainer in place, but mine doesn't have this. Can anyone offer insight on what style I have and if there's anything different I need to do to replace it? I've posted some pics at the following for clarification: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=246133&id=583675665

I suspect that what you have is a strainer that has a "cup" instead of the large nut. The cup is held on by the more normal sized nut at the bottom.

Thanks Furd. I've reposted at: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
The one I have still doesn't appear to be the same as the pic you posted.

If this is close to what you have the two large parts unscrew, it's going to take two people to get it off, one to hold the top to keep from spinning, (put something in the drain like the handles of a pair of pliers) the other to unscrew from the bottom, with that plastic bottom it may end up cracking, luck.
