Hot Shower, Cold Bath

I have a Peerless tub and shower faucet, I believe it is the cartridge type. The water wasnt hot enough so I rotated the white plastic (0 ring??) piece all the way to the 'hot side'. That worked for the shower but when the water is switched over to the tub spout, it is not as hot as whats coming out of the shower. Whats up with that?

It is most likely the temperature compensating feature protecting you from yourself. Try mediating the valve adjustment to somewhere between wao and midpoint. I think you will feel somewhat similar water temperatures at both locations. Post back and let us know.

I'm not giving up, but am at a loss as to why a direct connection from the mixing valve to both the shower and tub would have different temperatures. Hopefully one of our more seasoned plumbers will chime in. I'll keep looking as well.
