Hi, I have a bath/shower on the second floor of our house. The second floor is all made of wood. There is a gap between the head of the shower/bath and the wall that I cannot seem to keep closed with the silicon I have applied. I removed all of the silicon a while back and applied a new layer to fill this gap between the wall and the bath. The gap at the head of the bath though is the largest gap and it seems no matter how much silicon I apply there, the silicon eventually tears away from the wall and the bath. I think this might be due to the fact that we use the shower in that bath and the amount of pressure we apply to that area because the shower head leads up against the wall. Is there another solution to this someone might be able to help me with please? Thanks!

I'm replacing a leaking Delta bathtub faucet. I have the replacement cartridge and it looks like a simple swap. However, after six years the bonnet nut, (at least I think that's what it's called), won't budge. I know it screws on, but I imagine the corrosion has sealed it in place. So far I have tried pouring some vinegar on it several times, but to no avail. I just poured some very hot water thinking that might help. But that ring hasn't moved a millimeter. Any suggestions? Thank you.
